![]() ![]() It is able to mix small amounts, useful in small households, I used it to whip 1 cup for a small lemon bar of 4x8 inches.I have found the motor to be plenty strong for the baking and cooking I do. In making the bread I need to turn off the mixer and pull the dough off the hook and from in to a ball in the bowl once for good kneading. It is able to mix up a single 3 pound loaf of bread at a time, as I cook for two this is plenty. In the three weeks I have had the mixer I have used it 12 times to make bread, cookies, lemon bars, scones and other things. I bought it from and the shipping was fast. The mixer is stored in the cupboard, then lifted for use and returned. The single most important feature of this mixer is being able to lift it, as I have very little counter space (18 inch by 2ft total). One of the best reviews on the mini I read is and is free as I write this. The 6qt needed a minimum amount of 4 cups for it to mix. ![]() I used a 6 qt bowl lift and found it great for bread but bad for small amounts for small desserts as well as other things leading to it not being used a ton. The mini goes on sale for $200 in the USA so would wait for the next sale if it is not that price right now. Third were do you live? I bought mine from do to their warranty and I was told that if bought from their site they will pay the shipping if it breaks in the first year so needs to be sent in for warranty work. I have made two small cheesecakes this week with first 1 cup and second 2 cups of cheesecake filling that needed whipped at high speed for about 10 minutes and it worked great, even without the spray guard which cost extra and I didn't buy. My second question is what besides bread do you plan to be doing with the mixer? I have found that the mini is great for small amount like mixing up 1 dozen cookies, or whipping 1 cup of lemon bar filling for a very small lemon bar 9x4in in a bread pan. ![]() The mixing of the dough is not the problem but the kneading. I have made bread in it of 3cup tp 4.5 cup so about 300g-450g the 4.5 cup was a bit large and I would not plan on more. The mixer comes with dough hook, whip, and mixing paddle. I have a two 2ft by 18in counters (one is used for dish drying rack and coffee pot so only one for food prep) in my kitchen so I keep the mini the cupboard below and lift it for each use as such being lighter is of very high value to me. ![]()
